The LIFTING EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA (LEEASA) was formed by like-minded organisations and concerned industry individuals from the providers, manufacturers, maintenance, inspection, examination and training sectors in 2003. LEEASA is a voluntary association recognised by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) VA00A48 and has since nominated members to serve on relevant ECSA committees specifically the Lifting Machinery Inspectors (LMI) ECSA registration committee.
