The Big 5 South Africa Impact Awards recognize outstanding achievements across the built environment. The awards celebrate organizations, projects and teams that demonstrate excellence, innovation and positive industry impact.

In its current format, registrations and award entries do not require a payment. Organizations can register their interest and submit entries without an entry fee.
Ceremony attendance is not included with a project nomination or finalist status. Table and seat bookings are open to everyone and must be reserved separately through the Table Booking form available on the website.
You may enter any project completed within the timeline listed under the specific category on the website, provided it has not been nominated in the past editions.
Yes. If you are submitting a project or initiative delivered on behalf of a client or project owner, you must ensure you have their approval before entering. By submitting an entry, you confirm that all relevant permissions have been obtained and that the information shared can be used for judging, announcements and awards-related communications.
There are 18 award categories, covering a broad range of disciplines, project types and organizational achievements across the industry.
You may enter up to 3 award categories, provided you meet the criteria for each category. Please note that only one submission is permitted per award category.
All entries are reviewed by an independent judging panel, featuring senior industry experts. Judges assess submissions against clear criteria to ensure a fair, transparent and credible process.
The deadline for entries is on 27 March 2026.
Finalists will be announced in May 2026.
The awards ceremony will take place on 10 June 2026, starting from 6:00pm onwards, at Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg. Use the table booking form on the website to book a seat at the ceremony.
